The Fleming School of Music has been serving the greater community with a national standard of excellence in music instruction for over 40 years. We are devoted to promoting quality music education for students of all ages and abilities. Our comprehensive program is highlighted by an emphasis on individual interest and building a solid theoretical foundation of musical concepts. We provide quality music education that lasts a lifetime.
We offer beginning through advanced music study. Our program is three-fold, contributing to the development of the whole musician:
-Private Instruction: Enthusiastic and professional instructors move students through our core program, cultivating their musicianship and lifelong love for playing.
–Computer Learning Lab: In the lab, a feature unique to our music school, students work through computer programs and other activities that supplement the practical knowledge they learn during their private instruction. Lab work integrates music theory, ear training, and composition as part of a comprehensive instructional program. Our lab is similar to college/university music school labs. It reinforces skill building in music fundamentals for K-12 age levels.
–Theory/Performance: Students meet monthly in group classes that fit a specific age and skill level. These classes instruct on theory knowledge while emphasizing the performative elements of musicianship. They’re social, energetic, and highly productive.
